All is Calm, All is Bright

It's so peaceful here today. Watching the snow fall with a sleeping baby is absolutely perfect.

Not like yesterday. Yesterday she decided she HAD to be nursed the entire day. If she fell asleep between feedings it was on the boob and if she was removed she got pissed off and had to nurse again. If she wasn't nursing she was having a gassy fit. This went on all night and then all day. I had about 20 minutes free during which I folded her tiny laundry. I was near tears by the end of the day, but thankfully today is a new day. A perfect hot chocolate day.

Seriously, Sarah, I feel like we live parallel lives. We had a awful day yesterday, too. He would be sound asleep on the boob or on the bottle, but as soon as I tried to put him down, he would wake up and wail. I was in tears. Today is definitely a better day--so glad it is the same for you.

It sounds like you need homemade marshmallows. To go in the hot chocolate, of course.

Today sounds absolutely idyllic. Compensation for yesterday probably.

I love those perfect days!

Yesterday was frightful for us, as well. Must have been some sort of weird weather front.

Snow and a sleeping baby sounds delightful.

Thank goodness for perfect days!

I've heard that one of the reasons people give up on breastfeeding is they have a day like that and don't realize that every day won't be that way. I'm glad you made it through and got such a great reward on the other side.

I love the first snowfall--it's so beautiful and peaceful. (And I'm glad the baby was sleeping and contributing to the peace. :-) Sounds dreamy.

God, I've had days like that. It's awful when it's happening, but thank goodness every day is a new day.

What a lovely picture. Sure don't see that here in Texas, but I can imagine it must be so peaceful.

And I can relate with the growth spurt. It is fun being a food source, isn't it? :)

And I thought I had a rough day. At least today will be better.
